FAQ

Who are Davy's confirmed companions?
The official site identifies Dr. Frank, Bessie, Goyle and Acelino as the main support characters currently associated with mall services and progression systems.
Do the companions fight alongside Davy?
The published material describes their support and shop functions, not a controllable party system. A combat-party feature has not been confirmed.

The short version

Davy may enter the dungeon alone, but his progress is not a one-zombie operation. Four characters at the shopping mall turn information and materials from each dive into something useful.

Character Mall location or service What it does
Dr. Frank Jupiter Target Records discoveries and unlocks collectibles
Bessie Bessie Burger Unlocks and improves Zombie Skills
Goyle Security Room Reviews dives, collections and materials
Acelino Ink on the Brain Develops and installs OT Gear

That division matters because “go back to base” is not a single upgrade button. A poor run might send you to Goyle to see what was missed, while a useful material haul belongs with Acelino or Bessie.

Dr. Frank and Jupiter Target

Dr. Frank describes himself as a genius and treats Davy’s expedition as research. At the Jupiter Target electronics store, he records discoveries from the dungeon and opens access to collectibles.

The official material connects his database with acquired Styles, defeated enemies, explored layers and collection items. It is the completionist corner of the mall: useful when you want to know what the last dive added instead of judging progress only by combat strength.

Dr. Frank also pushes the larger plan forward. Davy wants to revive Julia; Frank wants knowledge that disappeared with humanity. Their goals overlap, but they are not identical, which gives the alliance a little more friction than a standard mentor relationship.

Bessie and Zombie Skills

Bessie is a biker zombie who brings Davy back from the dungeon. At Bessie Burger, she also handles the unlocking and rarity upgrades of Zombie Skills.

This is easy to confuse with Style Eat. Styles are monster forms taken during a dive. Zombie Skills strengthen the underlying Zombie Style and are managed through Bessie’s service. Treating those as separate systems makes the upgrade screens much easier to read.

Goyle and the Security Room

Goyle cannot move by himself, but exceptional sight and hearing make him the mall’s information broker. His Security Room tracks previous dungeon dives, collections and material status.

Visit him when the question is “What happened?” rather than “What should I equip?” Reviewing a failed dive before changing gear helps separate a bad build from a missed route, an unfinished collection or a material target that needs another attempt.

Acelino and Body Hack

Acelino is a Chihuahua man—an oddly specific distinction the official profile makes from a werewolf—and Dr. Frank’s technical assistant. He operates Ink on the Brain, where OT Gear is developed, installed and managed.

This makes him the practical face of Body Hack. Left arm, right arm, head and leg parts belong to this equipment layer. If Style Eat changes what Davy becomes during a run, Acelino changes what Davy takes into it.

A useful mall routine

After a dive, a clean order is:

  1. Check Goyle’s records and decide what the run actually achieved.
  2. Visit Dr. Frank if the dive filled a database or collection milestone.
  3. Review Bessie Burger when Zombie Skill options have opened.
  4. Use Acelino for deliberate OT Gear changes, not a complete panic rebuild.
  5. Start the next dungeon dive with one clear experiment in mind.

The game may add more services at launch. This page only lists functions the official site currently confirms.
