FAQ

How long is the Stupid Never Dies demo?
GPTRACK50 describes First Bite as the first two hours of the game. Your own time may vary if you explore the shopping mall or retry fights.
Does the First Bite demo save carry over?
Yes. The developer says demo progress can be continued in the purchased full game.
Is the demo available on PC?
Yes. First Bite is available on Steam as well as PlayStation 5.

Is the First Bite demo worth playing?

Yes—especially if you are unsure what “blazing fast growth” means in practice. First Bite is not a combat arena cut loose from the story. It starts at the beginning, runs for roughly two hours, and introduces the three systems the rest of the game is built around. Progress is also meant to carry into the full release.

The demo is available from the Steam store and PlayStation Store. It is free on both platforms.

What is included in First Bite?

GPTRACK50 says the demo contains the opening cutscene and approximately the first two hours of play. That is enough time to see the shopping-mall base, begin diving into the dungeon, and meet the game’s main progression ideas.

System What you do
Style Eat Bite enemies, take their core and temporarily use their monster form
Body Hack Equip OT Gear on Davy’s left arm, right arm, head and legs
Davy Burst Fill the Burst Meter through repeated attacks, then trigger a temporary power surge

If one of those terms sounds vague, that is normal—the names are deliberately odd. Our beginner guide explains how they fit into a dungeon run, while the Style Eat guide and Body Hack guide cover each system separately.

Which bosses are in the demo?

The publisher’s demo announcement names two bosses: Afreet and Wyvern. Afreet uses Overtech-assisted gravity control, while Wyvern is an airborne vanguard in KOM’s army. The official material does not publish health totals, damage values or a complete move list, so treat any precise numbers elsewhere as unverified unless they show the test conditions.

For now, our Wyvern page breaks down what the director commentary actually shows without pretending it is a finished launch-day strategy.

How does save transfer work?

The official announcement says anyone who plays First Bite can continue that save after buying the full game. It does not describe a cross-platform transfer, so the safe assumption is to continue on the same platform and account.

Before deleting the demo, keep it installed until the full game has recognized the save. That is a precaution rather than an official requirement; GPTRACK50 has not yet published a detailed transfer troubleshooting page.

What should you test before buying?

Use the demo to answer questions a trailer cannot settle:

  • Does the aggressive parry-focused combat feel right to you?
  • Do you enjoy swapping monster forms during a run?
  • Is Body Hack’s equipment management interesting or too busy?
  • Does performance hold up on your PC or PS5 display setup?
  • Do the frequent visual effects remain readable during larger fights?

The demo is long enough to make that decision. There is no need to rush simply because the marketing calls the growth “fast.” Spend time in the menus, try the available forms, and see whether the loop of diving, failing and returning stronger works for you.

When does the full game release?

The North American release date is October 21, 2026, for PS5 and Steam. Japanese promotional material lists October 22 because of the time-zone difference. The standard edition is listed at $49.99 in the United States, while the Glorious Idiot Edition is $59.99.
