When does Stupid Never Dies release?

The game launches on October 21, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and PC through Steam in North America. Japanese material lists October 22 because of the time-zone difference. There is no announced Xbox or Nintendo Switch version.

The free First Bite demo is already available on both launch platforms, and its save can carry into the purchased game.

How much does each edition cost?

Edition US price Included content
Standard $49.99 Base game
Glorious Idiot Edition $59.99 Base game, TickTock Teddies: Nonsense Overload Pack, up to 48 hours of early/advanced access

Prices are the announced US amounts and can differ by region or retailer.

What is in the TickTock Teddies pack?

The pack contains five TickTock Teddies with special presentation effects rather than a new campaign. The PlayStation listing names Big Head, Chirp Chirp, Festival, Romantic and Splash. Their effects alter details such as Davy’s head, footsteps, hit sounds, graffiti and music remixes.

If those cosmetic and audio changes do not matter to you, the Standard Edition includes the same base game. Nothing published so far says the extra pack is required for Style Eat, Body Hack or the main story.

How does early access work?

The Glorious Idiot Edition offers up to 48 hours of early access on PlayStation and advanced access on Steam. The announced start is October 19, 2026, at 10:00 PM UTC. Eligibility is tied to purchasing by October 21 at 9:59 PM UTC, and the publisher notes that timing can change.

“Up to 48 hours” is the important wording. Server, storefront or regional timing can reduce the practical window, so do not buy the upgrade on the assumption that every player receives exactly two full days.

What are the PlayStation pre-order bonuses?

The PlayStation Store pre-order bonus is a set of 11 PSN avatars representing Davy’s Styles. The Glorious Idiot Edition adds the early-access benefit. Steam’s announced premium benefit is the advanced-access window.

These bonuses do not change the advice in the beginner guide or grant a stronger starting build.

Which edition should you buy?

Choose Standard if you only want the game. Choose Glorious Idiot if the Teddy effects appeal to you or if playing before the general release is worth the extra $10. The build system is part of the base game, not a deluxe-only feature.
